Privacy Policy

We take your privacy seriously. This page explains exactly what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

📅 Effective Date: June 1, 2025
🏛️ Organization: Caiden's Corner – The Ausome Families Foundation

Caiden's Corner – The Ausome Families Foundation ("we," "us," or "our") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you visit our website, subscribe to our emails, make a donation, or engage with our programs and services.

By using our website, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

Information We Collect

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Mailing address (for physical donations, event registrations, or correspondence)
  • Payment information — processed securely via third-party platforms (see Section 10 for details)
  • Event registration details, volunteer preferences, or survey responses
  • Any other information you provide through forms or program sign-ups

We also collect certain information automatically when you visit our website:

  • Browser type, operating system, and device information
  • IP address and approximate geographic location
  • Pages visited, time spent, and links clicked (via Google Analytics)
  • Referring website or search query that brought you to our site

We only collect what we need. As a small nonprofit, we collect the minimum necessary to operate our programs, communicate with supporters, and fulfill our mission to serve autism families across South Mississippi.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process donations and send tax receipts (required for 501(c)(3) compliance)
  • Send newsletters, program updates, and event information
  • Register and communicate with volunteers, walkers, and event participants
  • Respond to inquiries and provide support
  • Improve our website, content, and services
  • Measure the impact and reach of our programs
  • Fulfill grant reporting, audit, and legal obligations
  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, or contractual obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to our nonprofit mission.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it only with:

  • Trusted service providers — email platforms, payment processors, and event registration tools — to carry out tasks on our behalf. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
  • Law enforcement or government authorities — if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the safety of our community.
  • Nonprofit partners or co-hosts — only when you register for a joint program or event, and only with your awareness at the time of registration.
  • Our board of directors and staff — on a need-to-know basis to operate programs and fulfill donor obligations.

Donor anonymity: We will never publicly share your name or donation amount without your express written consent. We may acknowledge donors collectively (e.g., "our generous supporters") in reports and social media without identifying individuals.

  • Correct your data — Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Delete your data — Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal retention obligations (see Section 9).

  • Event registration, program sign-ups, and donations on behalf of a child must be completed by a parent or legal guardian who provides their own contact information.
  • Photos or videos taken at our events that include children will only be shared publicly with written consent from a parent or guardian. Consent forms are provided at all Caiden's Corner events.
